  • The West Piedmont Planning District Commission has completed the Draft Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy 2012 Annual Report and is currently requesting public review/comment.  To download the draft strategy, please click here.  Comments should be submitted to the following email address lmanning@wppdc.org or by contacting 276-638-3987. 
  • In accordance to Section 33.1-70.01 of the Code of Virginia, Franklin County Board of Supervisors and the Virginia Department of Transportation have jointly formulated a budget for the expenditure of improvement funds for the next fiscal year as well as to update the current Six-Year Secondary Roads Improvement Program based on projected allocation of funding. In accordance with this section of the Code of Virginia, the Franklin County Board of Supervisors has established a time of 6:00 P.M., on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room in the Franklin County Government Center, 1255 Franklin Street, Suite 104, Rocky Mount, Virginia to allow for public comment.  A copy of the proposed Six-Year Plan and priority listing for the upcoming fiscal year is available for review in the Office of Finance at 1255 Franklin Street, Suite 111, Rocky Mount, Virginia, and here.  “ALL REQUESTs FOR REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS DUE TO A DISABILITY SHOULD BE MADE TO SHARON K.   • Accelerate Virginia!  Please see the latest update on this project.  The plea for citizen participation is providing Accelerate Virginia with a substantial amount of data, but we still need your assistance.   Franklin County is partnering with VA Tech's e-Corridors "Accelerate Virginia" effort to gather internet service data.  Please provide your internet service data to this important effort!
